ATT Declared Surplus September 20 2010
Submitted by Miriam DiNicholas on Tue, 09/21/2010 - 1:59pm.
As is provided in Article VII and as noted in the Company's declaration of surplus on SEptember 20, 2010, the EVSP was implemented and that process is complete. (Final Pool Lists have been posted). The Company has formally notified the Union that further force adjustments are deemed necessary. The Company’s intends to implement a voluntary re-deployment process in the identified entities as specified in paragraph e. of Article VII. The Company will make positions that are currently “open” in the Transfer Bureau available to all incumbents on the surplused job titles and entities listed in Attachment 1. This voluntary re-deployment process will be completed by October 21, 2010. The Company intends to introduce layoffs on November 5, 2010. Employees will have until 4:00 PM on Monday, October 18, 2010 to complete required Transfer Bureau testing and to submit specially-marked Transfer Requests to the Transfer Bureau to indicate their interests for the available jobs. The Transfer Bureau will fill the available positions, in seniority order, from among the applicants from surplused job titles (see attached listing). The Company will continue to implement the remaining provisions of Article VII in order to relieve this current surplus situation and expects to conclude this process by November 5, 2010. Next Steps:
