David Weidlich
Dear Senator Fonfara and Representative Morin, I wanted to take a moment and share some information about my wonderful employer att.
The new U-verse TV is a great means for consumers to have video choices however the regular att residential customers are now on the back burner waiting several days for repair service. Ct customers now call Ohio for repair service and get a total runaround. The repair call center that was closed earlier this year (100+ jobs) in Ct displayed loyalty to att customers in Ct and took pride in getting the customer back in service as soon as possible.
This Company has additionally decided to contract out emergency pole and service outages related to pole breaks of att owned poles caused by fires, accidents etc. The Contractors are not qualified to work with the power company.
They are unsafe and don't have the skills or awareness of safety needed to do this work. The linemen of att have done this work side by side with the power lineman for as long as we have had poles in this State. This compounded with the calls being answered in Ohio for emergency pole work has delayed the ability to make a unsafe situation safe in a timely manner. I think these are issues for the DPUC.
Thanks,
Dave Weidlich
