Plant 1

MLAC: workload continues to benefit from Southwest RMA’s.

CST: Working through management reorganization as well as post surplus

assignment of work and scheduling issues.

NTEL: Working through scheduling and assignment of work issues post surplus with anticipation of more loans to the TA-NOC because the Company will not cut vacancies at this time. Need to address the advantage a loan person gets if the company does make vacancies available.

611: The closing of the NCSC is wrapping up. We need to continue to pressure AT&T to keep call center work in Connecticut. ATT makes large profits in Ct. and needs to invest in CT's workforce.

Dispatch: Post surplus issues of training and scheduling need to be monitored current trick schedule was extended by two weeks.

Radio-Video: Requested formal meeting with Construction, Switching and Business management to address the constant rumors and get the facts of the Company’s intention to move work between titles as well as create a new title for LERT work.

Support Specialist: Meeting scheduled with Joan Proto for work group to ask questions as they relate to the Company’s plans to reassign work.

Construction: Major issues with contractors and the limiting of overtime for the Splicers and Line gang. Several grievances have been filed.

Consumer: Augmentation issues continue because the Company has disregarded the augmentation agreement that has been used when consumer needed help from other work groups. Grievances have been filed.

Business: Waiting to see what if any issues will arise from the management re-organization. Training issues should be addressed in the grievance process if technicians are not satisfied with the training they are not receiving after the annual review.

Garage Mechanics: Grievances have been moved to Step Three as they relate to the Company using contractors in lieu of regular full time employees. Because they have not surplussed the title we may have to attempt to organize the contractors.

Finally we need to continue to file grievances as they relate to sick time until the issue is resolved in bargaining or arbitration.

  In Solidarity,

Dave Weidlich - Plant I Vice President
