Today the Bargaining Committee agreed to a contract extension until June 28th with Frontier to allow us time to continue bargaining, while having all the protections of our current contract. We met with Frontier Communications this week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to continue our negotiations. We did see some progress in our Departmental side tables and have moved slightly in the right direction. Our priorities have not changed and as we get closer to the Verizon acquisition getting approved, we still need to achieve an agreement that improves wages and benefits and addresses Frontiers use of contract labor. For those of you that have been through previous bargaining, be prepared and stay tuned for information on mobilization activities that will be ramping up in the month of June. Now is the time to get ready, get involved and get serious!
