Today the Union and Frontier agreed to extended our current contract until August 30, 2025. There was a lot of discussion on our options, do we extend the contract or work without a contract. Ultimately we were able to negotiate an agreement to extend the contract and secure retroactivity once we reach a tentative agreement. While working without a contract was an option, another extension that secures retroactive raises back to Oct 20, 2024 made the decision very clear. We have seen some movement at the table, and we know that this has only occurred because of our members stepping up to mobilize with the assistance of Scabby the Rat. We were also faced with not bargaining for the next 3 weeks due to the company not being available until July 22nd. We will now use this time to prepare another round of mobilization that will continue to put more pressure on the company as we work to secure the fair and just contract that our members deserve.
