The Executive Board attended the CWA District 1 conference and met with VP Dennis Trainor, CWA staff and other Frontier locals to discuss continued coordinated bargaining. Verizon has officially filed a docket with PURA for change of control. We will continue to have discussions with our CWA leadership on how to best prepare for effects bargaining with Verizon and our level of participation at PURA.
We continue bargaining with Frontier Communications. Job Security, Contract Labor, Benefits, Pensions and Wages are critically important to a successful agreement. We stand ready to fight, we have a mobilization plan, but we need everyone to do their part to get a fair and just contract. We will use every resource we have available, including the media, our political allies and other labor organizations to get the best agreement possible. Recently we launched operation FWJH which was a complete success. Thank you to all who participated. Sign our petition here to support our message to Frontier. Stop Outsourcing and Invest in jobs for Local 1298 members.
Remember, when We fight, We win!
