Frontier Communication Receives Early Termination of the "Waiting Period" from the FTC

Frontier announces today that they have received permission from the FTC under the HSR Act for early termination of the required waiting period in regards to their acquisition of AT&T Connecticut Wireline Service.  According to the FTC, 'the parties may not close their deal until the waiting period outlined in the HSR Act has passed, or the government has granted early termination of the waiting period".  For more information FTC notification and the HSR Act click Here.  CWA Local 1298 has reached out to the national for an explanation of what this means to the timeline of the deal.  In the meantime, the  PURA approval is still pending based on the upcoming docket hearings which have not been scheduled yet.  Click Here for details at PURA.
