Message from President Dave Weidlich
Dr. King devoted his life to advancing equality, social justice, and economic opportunity for all. He challenged us to build a more perfect union and taught us that everyone has a role to play. Five decades later, we still have work to do to realize Dr. King's dream.
I think it is important to reflect on a few relevant quotes;
“People fail to get along because they fear each other; they fear each other because they don’t know each other; they don’t know each other because they have not communicated with each other.”
“Tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now. In this unfolding conundrum of life and history, there is such a thing as being too late. This is no time for apathy or complacency. This is a time for vigorous and positive action.”
Dr King and the role he played in making so many lives better and the work he championed continues in his memory. Dr. King’s legacy continues as we work for Social Justice and Equality over 50 years later.
