Message from President Dave Weidlich
I wanted to take a moment to recognize our Human Rights and Equity Committee for the great work they do and have been doing over the past years. This week the committee conducted training for our stewards on a topic that was new to many called Implicit Bias. I’m hopeful those who attended came out of the workshop with information that they had not known or been exposed to and can now use this information to help make better judgments on topics in their own life experiences. The Committee did an outstanding job over two days, and I very much appreciate it. I would like to recognize them for their continued hard work on the topics of Human Rights and Equity, the Committee members are Esther Almodovar- Chair, Louise Gibson, Yoaly Lopez, Genece Taylor, Kimberly Edwards, Tommy Joyner and Earl McCoy. A very special “thank you” to our very own CWA Staff Representative Katie Montalbano for assisting the Committee with this workshop!
